The Axe Remembers, Too
Thoughts on Andor, Certain Exogorths, and the Folkloric Cycle
This post is just for the handful of incredible people who went ahead and became paid subscribers of a Substack that was only hours old and filled with the internet content equivalent of soot sprites, burrito wrappers, and a sign reading Opening Soon: Pardon Our Mess! in crayon.
Such faith deserves something.
I’ve no idea yet what I’m going to use Substack for, and thus no notion of what to give you specially to repay such generosity and kindness, but until I do, I thought I might share a pretty personal little thought I had tonight that I really probably wouldn’t share outside a polite wall of some sort. Nothing scandalous, just doesn’t feel like a thing for the world at large.
I was watching Andor tonight and thinking about Star Wars, the Extended Universe, the whole sprawling story and the place its held in my life as someone who was born between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back and was Leia for Halloween kind of a lot.
